Exactly one week ago, the forecast was calling for thunderstorms. Naturally the anticipated storms were scheduled to arrive at the same time we were set to start Jenna & Mike’s engagement session. We all made adjustments to our schedules and moved the time earlier and were able to win the battle with Mother Nature – this time. Here are a few of our favorite photos from our time together.
Jenna & Mike enjoy hiking together, so I was very excited when Jenna sent me directions to this trail. They incorporated something they enjoy doing together in their session and that always adds a special touch!Every woman should know what it feels like to be wrapped safely in the arms of the one she loves.Mike couldn’t stop looking at his beautiful fiance. Not a cloud in the sky means plenty of bright sunshine. While walking along the path we came across a spring house. Mike and Jenna graciously agreed to get out of the hot sun and brave the dark tunnel. We didn’t construct this adorable stick hut, but we sure are grateful to whoever did! Thankfully we almost always carry a blanket with us, because poison ivy wasn’t stopping us from getting a few photos at this spot!Love the playfulness these two have with one another.I absolutely LOVE this ring!I mentioned that I have always wanted to take photos in a certain tree row near the trail. The light coming through the trees, contrasted with the dark shadows, is exactly what I was hoping for!I love the look and feel this gives of being deep in a forest.During our initial consultation, Jenna mentioned that she wanted their Corgi, Oscar, in some of their photos. He did a great job!As the clouds were rolling in, we were able to get a few more ‘family’ photos!Capturing real moments like these will always stand the test of time.
