This past weekend we had the pleasure of photographing Lauren and Dan’s first day as husband and wife at the beautiful Riverdale Manor. Despite the snow and sleet, the sun did eventually make an appearance and the weather certainly didn’t put a damper on Lauren and Dan’s celebration. During their engagement session, we quickly realized that these two really are best friends. We also discovered that Dan has a wonderful sense of humor! I think the majority of the images we selected for the blog exemplify both!
Lauren and the ladies had adorable monogrammed shirts to wear while they were having their hair and make-up done. They may or may not have enjoyed some Chick-fil-A, shhhh…the boys are still bitter.
Dan called in some favors for these beautiful flowers! They were created by Wegmans in Malvern.
Lauren’s adorable niece had a nice nap and was ready to steal the show as soon as she arrived!
Yes, she is a stunning bride, but Lauren is also a super sweet, caring and family oriented woman.
The men enjoyed hanging out in the upstairs suite at Riverdale Manor while waiting for the ceremony to begin.
Over the past year, we have seen more and more grooms choosing to purchase their suit rather than renting! This ensemble gets two thumbs up. I’m a huge fan of the blue suit with a tie that coordinates with the bridesmaids dresses, but isn’t exactly the same.
Lauren did a sweet first look with her dad on the front porch before their guests began to arrive.
While many couples dream of getting married on the lawn at Riverdale Manor, they also have a beautiful pavilion that provides flexibility in case of inclement weather. For example, snow in APRIL!
The beautiful decor of the pavilion was the perfect backdrop for Lauren and Dan’s ceremony.
The looks. The laughs. Oh, how we love documenting these moments!
As Lauren and Dan exchanged their vows, it was very apparent how in love they are with one another.
Lauren and Dan chose to have their rings passed to their closest friends and families for each of them to say a prayer over those rings for their marriage.
When the rings returned, they had been warmed and blessed by each of those family members hands.
Isn’t she just the cutest!
Pure joy after being proclaimed husband and wife.
Even though he’s not in the frame, Dan’s presence is apparent in this image! I love how easily he can make Lauren smile and laugh.
30 degrees? Sleet? Not a problem for Dan!
Lauren selected shades of pink for the floral arrangements and the linens. Everything looked stunning in the ballroom at Riverdale Manor.
As it turns out, Dan isn’t the only one in the family with a sense of humor!
During dinner, April noticed the sun beaming through the windows! Not knowing how long it would stay, she approached Lauren and Dan, and they were quick to agree that a short stroll through the yard was in order.
I’ve said it before, and I’ll continue to state, parent dances simply warm my heart. It’s one tradition I truly get all mushy about.
Thyme & Seasons, Riverdale Manor’s in house catering, provided this gorgeous (and delicious) cake!
The DESSERTS!!!!
When we initially talked with Lauren and Dan, Dan was very clear. He likes to party! And party they did. Roger of Top Hat Entertainment had everyone moving all night.
